Marc is an emergency physician currently practicing on the east coast of the United States. As a young adult, he was an avid traveler. His medical training took him to places as far as rural southern India, the Rocky Mountains, the Chihuahuan Desert, and the Indian Health Service in Alaska. Marc completed his emergency medicine training in 2003, the same year he began surfing in the Outer Banks, NC, USA, and has cared for patients around the States since. These days he oscillates between time spent surfing Rhode Island waves with his children and chasing waves in places like El Salvador. Marc sees his involvement in Waves for Change as a fantastic opportunity to create and share joy and make meaningful impacts on the lives of individuals struggling with illness, injury and disability.
