As the former Editor for Eastern Surf Magazine and Senior Editor for Surfing, Matt Walker spent nearly two decades documenting the sport’s top personalities and global surf related events from the inside out. Upon moving home to the Outer Banks, he served as co-chair for the Surfrider Foundation, where he helped spearhead the campaign to fight offshore drilling in the Atlantic Ocean. Matt was also recently inducted into the East Coast Surfing Legends Hall of Fame for his life-long dedication to the industry. He sees Waves For Change as a progressive new way to help passionate surfers attack not only coastal concerns, but to raise funds and awareness for any pressing issue.
